Rare mid-century Columbus lounge chair designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Dux, Sweden, ca. 1954. Soft, sculptural form reflecting the shift towards organic Scandinavian modernism. Produced for a limited period as part of the Dux Studio collection and rarely seen on the market today. Professionally restored with refinished wooden legs and new Nevotex upholstery, maintaining original proportions and character. Documented in Andreas Siesing’s reference book on Swedish furniture design. -

Mid-Century modern times are reflected in brass details on wooden legs. This Armchair not only looks beautiful, but is also extremely comfortable, Bengt Ruda paid great attention to this when creating this design. This piece of furniture is after a professional restoration, reinforced construction, cleared of the old surface and finished with a new black matte paint finish. Soft parts reupholstered.
