Rare mid-century Columbus lounge chair designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Dux, Sweden, ca. 1954. Soft, sculptural form reflecting the shift towards organic Scandinavian modernism. Produced for a limited period as part of the Dux Studio collection and rarely seen on the market today. Professionally restored with refinished wooden legs and new Nevotex upholstery, maintaining original proportions and character. Documented in Andreas Siesing’s reference book on Swedish furniture design. -

This wonderfully crafted and very comfortable chair named "Puck/922'" was designed by famous Swedish designer Yngve Ekström in 1956 and produced at the oldest Swedish furniture manufacturer "Gemla". The frame is made of solid beech wood, after the restoration, the surface of the wood is covered with brown stain and clear lacqered finish. Chairs have been re-upholstered in high quality 100% recycled polyester (made in Sweden). It is a durable furniture fabric with a soft and pleasant feel which is made from recycled material that comes from the Seaqual Initiative, a project that deals with cleaning the oceans from plastic waste.
Each chair has a original sticker mark that confirms the authenticity.
