Henry Walter (H. W.) Klein (1919–1987) was a Norwegian-born furniture designer and cabinetmaker closely associated with Danish modern design. During the Second World War, he served in the Royal Norwegian Navy and worked as a cabinetmaker. In 1949, Klein moved to Denmark to study at Frederiksberg Technical School, where Finn Juhl was among the teachers. After completing his studies in 1952, he returned to Norway and established an interior design practice.
In 1960, Klein moved to Denmark to work for Bramin, a furniture manufacturer based in Bramming. He designed a wide range of furniture for the company, including lounge and dining chairs, sofas, tables and storage pieces.
One of his well-known designs is Silhouette, a leather-upholstered swivel lounge chair produced by Bramin in the 1970s. It is distinguished by its soft, enveloping shape and five-spoke base. Klein also designed dining chairs and sideboards, characterized by clean lines and carefully crafted woodwork.
